    By using WhatIsReal — including texting our phone number, submitting a form, purchasing a subscription, or forwarding emails to our service — you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

    Description of Service

    WhatIsReal is a scam detection assistant. Users may forward suspicious text messages or emails to our service, which analyzes the content using a combination of rule-based checks and AI technology.

    We then provide a response indicating whether the message appears safe, suspicious, or likely a scam, along with general guidance or recommended next steps.

    No Guarantee of Accuracy

    WhatIsReal provides its best assessment based on available information, but we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. Our analysis is informational and advisory only and does not constitute professional, legal, financial, or security advice.

    A rating of "Likely Safe" does not guarantee that a message is legitimate, and a rating of "Likely Scam" or "Suspicious" does not guarantee that a message is fraudulent. Users should always exercise independent judgment and verify information through trusted sources.

    WHATISREAL DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY ANALYSIS OR RECOMMENDATION WILL BE CORRECT OR RELIABLE.

    Messaging Terms

    By providing your phone number and/or initiating contact with our service, you agree to receive SMS messages from WhatIsReal, operated by Released Solutions LLC, related to your inquiry.

    • Message frequency varies based on user interaction
    • Messages are sent only in response to user-initiated actions or explicit consent
    • Message and data rates may apply
    • Text STOP at any time to opt out
    • Text HELP for assistance
    • Supported carriers include major U.S. carriers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and others)

    We do not send unsolicited marketing or promotional messages. All messages are strictly informational and tied to user-initiated activity.

    You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WhatIsReal, Released Solutions LLC, and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

    • Any actions taken based on service output
    • Your violation of these Terms
    • Your violation of any applicable laws

    Assumption of Risk

    You acknowledge that scam and fraud detection is inherently uncertain. No automated system can guarantee accuracy. You assume full responsibility for decisions made based on information provided by the service.

    Changes to Terms

    We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
